Dr. Buck Reed Dr. Buck Reed is a lecturer in paramedicine at Charles Sturt University with over a decade of academic teaching and research and 17 years of clinical practice. He is a Registered Paramedic in Australia who had practiced in both rural and metropolitan settings and still practices clinically. Buck received a Churchill Fellowship in 2013 and was the first paramedic accepted into the NSW Health Rural Research Capacity Building Program in 2009. Buck participates in a range of professional activities including membership of the Australasian College of Paramedics Future of Paramedicine Working Group and several other committees. Buck has given over 60 conference presentations including 17 presentations at overseas conferences in Canada, New Zealand, and the US. Buck is the co-author of the book Communication in Paramedicine Practice and a contributor to a number of other texts. Buck’s research focus is the intersection of paramedicine and social sciences, paramedic wellness and professionalisation. |
