Fred Chapman, Ph.D

Fred lives in the Seattle area and leads a small group of engineers and scientists focused on advancing the science and technology of emergency care. In his 30+ years in this role, initially in Physio-Control and now as part of Stryker, he has extensively studied defibrillation, CPR, ventilation and non-invasive monitoring, and used that research to help improve products and processes for emergency care. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the mountains of the Pacific Northwest with family and friends on foot, on skis and by bicycle.
