Grant Scollay
Grant Scollay is a paramedic and a nurse, with the majority of his over 20 years of clinical experience spent dealing with children. This began in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sick Kids hospital in Toronto, before moving to the hospital’s Neonatal Transport Team. He then spent more than 10 years as a member of the Paediatric Transport Team at Ornge, Ontario’s provincial air ambulance provider. In 2020, Grant entered adult practice at Ornge in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Grant’s influence extends beyond direct patient care and his career has recently shifted to focus more on education. This includes his current position as a Clinical Practice Lead at Ornge, as well as his long standing role as faculty and education coordinator with KinderMedic. He has been an invited speaker nationally on pediatric specific topics in critical care and resuscitation, and is currently pursuing a MSc in Epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh. His current research interests are focused on pediatric pain and hyperglycemic emergencies.
